On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, of Lanham, MD. Beloved husband of Alma Lorena Kelly Avitia; father of Serafin Avitia, IV and Adela G. Lohr. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 9475 Annapolis Rd, Lanham, MD on Thursday, August 12th, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, August 13th from 10 to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Matthias on Friday, August 13th at 11 a.m. Interment following at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthias Catholic Church.
