Joseph Junkroski

Joseph Leonard Junkroski passed away peacefully with his beloved son Joseph by his side on Monday, September 30th, 2019 after suffering heart complications.

Growing up in Chicago with his loving parents Leonard and Loretta Junkroski, Joe developed a lifetime passion for the game of Ice Hockey. He continued that love and after a four-year stint in the United States Navy, Joe settled in Hyattsville Maryland. While in Hyattsville he met and married his beautiful wife Mary Catherine, who sadly passed away in November 2017. Together Joe and Mary Catherine lived a happy life and were blessed to raise their son Joseph. Joe was a proud, loving, and dedicated father. His strong work ethic and Christian spirit allowed Joe to make friends at Amtrak, his workplace, and the Moose Lodge, just to name a few. His smile was contagious. He had such a pure heart and was such a good man. To say Joe was an AVID Washington Capitals fan is like asking a fish if it likes water! He loved his Capitals!!!
