In Loving Memory of Victor Manuel Ysern
Victor Manuel Ysern, aged 63, passed away on December 28, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. Born on May 25, 1962 in Washington DC, he grew into a person whose kindness, humor, and steady presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He was the beloved brother of Teresa Ames, (Frank Vidsens) of Bowie, MD, Cynthia Lavallee (Gilbert Lavallee) of Pasadena, MD and Gabriela Diaz (Michael Fenner) of Columbia, SC, and a cherished uncle to Crystal Spalding and Hailey Dyer, Eric Lavallee, Katharine Lavallee and Nicole Diaz. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, resilience, and the way he could make others feel seen and valued.
Victor had a passion for music especially the Blues. He was a loyal supporter of the Washington Redskins (Commanders), Washington Capitols, and the Washington Nationals. Whether he was hanging out with his friends, spending time with his family or enjoying time at the beach, he brought dedication and heart to everything he did. His laughter, his stories, and his unwavering support will be deeply missed.
He is survived by sisters Teresa Ames, Cynthia Lavallee, and Gabriela Diaz, and preceded in death by parents Manuel and Aurora Ysern. His memory will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched, and by his many friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on January 4, 2026 at Gasch’s Funeral Home 4739 Baltimore Ave, Hyattsville, MD 20781, from 12pm-4pm; followed by repast at the home of Teresa Ames 2908 Tallow Lane, Bowie, MD, where family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society (National Home Office).
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we had with him and the love he gave so freely. May he rest in peace.
