Thomas (Tommy) Vaughn

Thomas “Tommy” L. Vaughn, age 80, of Edmonston, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Tommy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Delores Wines Vaughn; his children, Sherri Vaughn Pundt (Edward Pundt Jr.), Angela Vaughn (Carlos Jibaja), and Anthony Vaughn (Melissa Vaughn); and his beloved grandchildren, Ashlyn McInerney, Anthony “AJ” Vaughn Jr., Linda Melendez, Isabelle Vaughn, and Zachary Vaughn.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Daisy Mae Vaughn and Reginald “Shorty” Vaughn, and three siblings, William Vaughn, Susie Edwards, and Gary Vaughn. He is survived by two siblings, Donald Vaughn and Lois Clayton along with five half-siblings, Jerald, Judy, Carol, Sharon, and Steve.

Born in Edmonston, Tommy lived there most of his life and proudly called it home. Those that knew him will remember his steady presence, quick wit, and the wisdom that he shared. He was always there for his family and even took the time to mentor and support others. Tommy lives on through his family who meant everything to him.

He worked as a Sheet Metal Fabricator and was employed by American Residential Services (ARS) for over 25 years, continuing to work until his passing. He valued hard work, honesty, and the value of a man’s word.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life that will be held at Gasch’s Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., a memorial service beginning at 12:00 p.m., followed by a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Cancer Society.
