Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant, Susan Quisenberry.
Susan W. Quisenberry was born in Takoma Park, Maryland to John S. Wynne and Carolyn D. Wynne on November 28, 1946. In March 1947 she received the gift of Holy Baptism. Later in her youth she publicly confessed her faith in the rite of Confirmation. She married her high school sweetheart, James E. Quisenberry on January 22, 1965 in Alexandria, Virginia, who preceded her in death in May 2014. Susan was blessed with two children: Susan Kennedy and Stacey Hagedorn. On April 9, 2026, Susan was invited by The Lord to rest from her mortal mission, and await the resurrection of the dead.
Throughout her life, Susan served The Lord through educating the rising generations. She ran Jack and Jill Day Nursery—started by her mother, Carolyn Wynne—until it closed in 2008, and ended her sixty-six year long service as an educator at St. Paul United Methodist Preschool as a Preschool Director in January 2026. She also had a great love for God’s animals. Throughout the years she has given several cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and birds a place within her home.
Susan is survived by her brother J. Sheldon Wynne (Anita Wynne). Her daughters: Susan Kennedy and Stacey Hagedorn (Kevin Hagedorn). Her niece Amy Mausert (Kevin Mausert), great niece Ansley, and great nephew Nathan Mausert. Five grandchildren: Carolyn Beus (Brody Beus), Kodie Hagedorn, Kate Kennedy, Samantha Hagedorn, and Emilie Hagedorn, and three great grandchildren: Clarissa, Adalyn, and Ian Beus. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints.
