Ruth Timanus Wattay 

October 19, 1932 – February 14, 2024

On February 14th, 2024, Ruth Timanus Wattay, of Clarksville, MD, formerly of Adelphi, MD, passed away at the age of 91. She was the beloved wife of the late Leslie J. Wattay for 64 years. Survived by her loving children, Danny (Sue), Debbie, Doug (Ellen), Susan (Brian), Kathleen (Jeff) and daughter-in-law, Mary; dear grandchildren, Stephen, Missy, Phillip, Paul, Jimmy, Michael, Sarah, Malia, Danielle, Alison, Chris, Russell, Lauren, Christine and Luke; and precious great-grandchildren, Micah, Morgan and Maverick. She is also survived by her sister, Betty and brother Gary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie, her two sons, Keith and Duane, and her parents, Ruth and Webster Timanus. Friends may call at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781 on Thursday, February 22nd from 3:00-7:00 p.m.  Services will be held at Gasch’s on Friday, February 23rd at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the National MS Society, P.O. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
