Rosaline (Rose) Wilson passed away peacefully at her home on January 25, 2026, surrounded by the love she faithfully gave during her lifetime and the family who cherished her.
A devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, Rose shared 50 loving years of marriage with her husband, Michael. Together they built a strong and caring family, raising three children Sarah (David Parker), Mary, and Michael (Tara) and delighting in the lives of their three grandchildren; Brendon, Grace, and Nora, who were a constant source of joy and pride. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. and Mary C. King, and her beloved twin sister, Sister Mary King, IHM with whom she shared a lifelong bond.
A longtime resident of College Park, Rose was an active and loyal member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Her faith guided her daily life and was reflected in her steady presence, willingness to serve, and commitment to the church community. In earlier years, she enjoyed traveling and was especially fond of working with the National Children’s Choir, combining her love of music with her devotion to faith and service.
Rose worked for many years in the Business Office at the Stamp Student Union for the University of Maryland in College Park.
Originally from Detroit, Rose carried her strength and deep love for her family into all that she did. She delighted in sharing stories from her childhood, especially memories of summers spent on Mackinac Island and time at the family cottage on Grand Lake in Alpena, Michigan playing cards.
Rose will be remembered for her deep faith, her love of family, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life
