On Monday, April 10, 2017 of Riverdale, MD. Beloved husband of the late Leora “Weetie” Scanlan. Loving father of Mary Rose (Richard) Keffer, Michael (Ann Marie) Scanlan, Robert A. (Cathy) Scanlan, Beverly (Tim) Moore, Joseph (Joann) Scanlan, Roger (Barbara) Scanlan, Clifford (Jane) Scanlan, Eric (Carol) Scanlan, and Elizabeth (Frank) Gallagher. Cherished grandfather of 34; great-grandfather of 36. Dear Brother of Norbert Scanlan, Dorothy Miller, and the late Mary Louise Humbert, Leonard Scanlan, and Clement Scanlan. He was the owner and operator of Scanlan Fleet in Bladensburg, MD for over 50 years. Friends may call at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville on Monday, April 17 from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 5700 St. Bernard’s Drive, Riverdale, MD on Tuesday, April 18 at 10 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of one’s choice.
