Quinton Van Dyke Kelly

Our brother in Christ and beloved father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend has departed from us but is now resting in peace.  Quinton was born and raised in Washington, DC. He attended Phelps Vocational School before beginning his career as a pressman at Merkle Press on I Street NE for several years. He met and married Patrice Jean William Kelly and brought two wonderful children into the world, Michael and Tanya Kelly.  Not long after Quinton switched professions to begin working as a facilities technician at the Tommy Douglas Conference Center in Hillandale, MD.  In 2016, he retired and began enjoying the fruits of his labor. Quinton’s favorite things were good food, music, western movies, fast cars and fitness. A little known fact is he volunteered at the annual summer Special Olympics founded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Foundation. In his later years, he struggled with his health but never lost his fight. Quinton leaves behind his son and daughter, his grandson, sisters, brothers, and a host of family and friends.  Love you and will see you again.
