Patrick "Pat" Goforth
December 11, 1957 — July 10, 2017
On Monday, July 10, 2017 of Brentwood, MD. Beloved wife of 25 years to Karen A. Goforth. Loving father of Patrick J., and Caitlin R. Goforth. One-of-a-kind brother of Larry (Diane) Petrella, Peggy Breeden (Russell Daudelin), Wayne (Jean) Goforth, and Gwen Lilly (late husband Bob Lilly). He is survived by his In-laws, Edsel and Edna Van Landingham, his Aunt Jessie Frye, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Goforth, Jr. He served 20 years in the Air Force as well as 30 years for the Washington Post.He served as a Bingo caller for the Silver Hill Volunteer Fire Department in Suitland, MD. A memorial service will be held at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, on Friday, July 14 from 12 to 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of one’s choice.
