Patricia A. Willoner

Patricia A. Willoner (89) of University Park, MD, passed away peacefully at the home she designed and loved, on Monday August 5, 2024. She was a talented decorator and seamstress, an avid boater, and a loving mother and wife. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on December 16, 1934. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, H.E. (Jim) Thacker, Mildred Ernst and siblings, Jerrold Thacker and Miriam Kay Mumby. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Ronald A. Willoner, children, Cynthia Grassmyer (Brian), Terrence A Willoner (Mandie), and Lorelei L. Dean (Patrick). She is survived by 10 grandchildren, TJ, Beau, Emily, Vail, Rachel, Daniel, Sierra, Quentin, Kylie, and Shena, and 13 great grandchildren. She was a flight attendant with United airlines, a schoolteacher and was politically active. She often worked as an election day polling judge. Pat enjoyed her winters in Florida, going out to dinner, reading, and sipping her red wine. A gathering will be held on Saturday, August 17th from 1pm – 3pm at Gasch’s Funeral Home, 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781, with a celebration of life to follow at her home, 4407 Holly Hill Road, University Park, MD 20782.
