Michael James Attick

Michael James Attick, 68, of Berwyn Heights, Maryland, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025. He leaves behind his wife, Shirley Ann Attick, with whom he has shared 50 loving years. Devoted father to sons, Joshua Michael Attick, Matthew James Attick, and Gabrielle Alexander who he loved as a daughter. Caring grandfather to Phillip Neil and Maxinne Noel Alexander. Brother to Charles Mayo (Brenda) Attick IV. Brother-in-law to Ronald Quarry, Judy (Marty) Isles, and Denise (William) Smith. Adored son-in-law to Imogene Emerson Quarry. Michael is also survived by his Aunt Lynne Vance, many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins, as well as several loving extended family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Mayo Attick III and Shirley Jane (Vance) Attick.

Michael was born on April 5, 1957, in Cheverly Maryland. He was raised in Greenbelt, Maryland, and graduated in 1975 from Parkdale High School in Riverdale, Maryland.

Michael was a passionate volunteer for many organizations throughout his life including the Greenbelt Volunteer Fire Department, C.E.R.T. (Citizens Emergency Response Team), Berwyn Heights Neighborhood Watch, Town Council, and Senior Center.

Friends may call at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A. 4739 Baltimore Ave, Hyattsville, MD, on Monday July 7th from 11 A.M. until service time at 12 noon. Interment immediately following at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD.
