On Sunday, September 17, 2017, a resident of New Carrollton, MD for over 35 years and formerly of Dunellen, NJ. Beloved wife of the late Edward T. Maier; Loving mother of Mary Ann Maier (Russell Weisner, predeased) Edward T. Maier Jr. (Diana G.), Regina Maier, Kathryn M. Hugler (William), Martin P. Maier (Kathleen “Kim”), and William Maier (Annie). Cherished Grandma of Steven (Christian), Leslie (Todd), Kodi, and Anna. Adored Great-Grandmother of Hunter and Hailey. Mary began her nursing career as a visiting nurse in New Brunswick NJ and continued to provide care over the years at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, NJ, Prince George’s Hospital in Cheverly, MD, and Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, DC. Mary also worked at Olympic Imported Auto Parts for several years. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's in Landover Hills  She was an avid Orioles fan, she loved to visit the casino, enjoyed gardening,and most importantly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who will miss her dearly. A memorial mass will be offered at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 7401 Buchanan Street, Landover Hills, MD on Wednesday, September 20 at 11 AM. Inurnment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Jude's Childrens' Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the St. Anne's Center for Children, Youth, and Families, 4901 Eastern Avenue, NE, Hyattsville, MD 20782
