On Monday, September 5, 2016 of Lanham, MD, formerly of Norfolk, VA. Beloved husband of Agnes Newman. Amazing father of Fredrica "Freddie" Newman-Blount, Sheba Newman-Blount (Rey Joseph Buzon), and Zarin Newman-Blount. Brother of Melvin and Janet Blount, and Dr. Linda (Charles) McCluney. Uncle of Charles McCluney, Jr., Lisa, Tony, Shawn, and Corey Cokes, and Karen Dunn, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 4920 Berwyn Road, College Park, MD on Thursday, September 15 at 11 AM. Inurnment Arlington National Cemetery date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for you to VOTE for Hilary Clinton.
