Lola Beatrice Love, 90, passed away on December 5, 2021, surrounded by her three sons.  She was born to Pinkney and Ethel Corn in Hendersonville, North Carolina on October 4, 1931. She resided in Hendersonville and graduated from high school there.  After high school she met and married her husband and in 1960, they moved to their home in Hyattsville where she resided the rest of her life. She was an active member of University Baptist Church and volunteered at the church’s food pantry each week.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Lola worked as a medical assistant with the Pediatric Office of Dr. Mary Sartwell for over twenty five years.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years to James Carroll Love (deceased); mother of Danny (Cindy), Mark (Donna) and Steve (Linda); sister of Sara Godwin, Ray Corn and Wayne Corn; grandmother of Jay (Erica), Toby (Tracy), Elyse (Drew Aikin), Cody and Ryan (Catherine); great-grandmother of Emma, Blake, Leo and Camilla; and dear friend and former mother in law of Ellen Bill.

Lola was a beautiful soul who left her mark on all those around her.  Our loving mother, our cherished grandmother and great-grandmother “Mam Mam” will be greatly missed.   We will always carry her memory in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Gasch’s Funeral Home on Monday, December 13, 2021, between the hours of 4:00pm and 5:00pm.  A funeral service will begin at 5:00pm.  A private family burial service will be held at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Meals on Wheels of College Park, P.O.
