Lloyd D. Creger Jr. was born on December 1, 1953, in Davenport, Iowa. Lloyd was 68 years old when he passed away on December 26, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Lloyd spent his childhood growing up in Iowa. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served as a personal assistant to Admiral Rickover. He then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland while working full time for the Department of Justice (Executive Office for Immigration Review).
Lloyd met Susan in 1974, and they were married in 1975. Lloyd was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2809 in Prince George's County, where he loved to donate his time working in the kitchen and taking care of accounting/payroll. Lloyd LOVED his Knights family, enjoyed his life and loved going to NASCAR events with his buddies. He also enjoyed sneaking in a round of golf whenever he could, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Lloyd had an amazing personality and he was loved by all. His laugh was infectious and his smile would brighten the whole room.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his father Lloyd D. Creger Sr. and his 2 infant sister's Vicky and Stephani. Lloyd is survived by the love of his life Susan, son Joseph (Wendy), daughter Angela (Kevin), son Matthew (Kristen), Mother Elaine Sopher (Robert), Sister Karen Bainbridge (William), and Grandchildren Kaylee, Shawn, Jack, Logan, Zachery, Samantha, and Nathan.
The viewing will be held at Gasch's Funeral Home, Hyattsville, MD. January 9, 2022, at 4 to 8 pm.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Jerome's Catholic Church on January 10, 2022, at 10 am.
Burial will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 10:45 am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd Crownsville, MD 21032.
