Leroy Worsley Jr., better known by his loved ones as “Junior”, passed away on Friday, July 29th 2022 at the age of 71 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sheila Worsley.
Junior was born on June 6, 1951 to the late Leroy Worsley Sr. and Lucille Worsley in Baltimore, Maryland. He has two brothers: Milton and Albert. And four sisters: Dorothy, Ella, Barbara, and Sirena. He was a responsible, goal driven man who worked as a metro train operator for 42 years. He loved watching the Ravens and Orioles and was a fan of films like the Lone Ranger and Dirty Harry and enjoyed the music of Motown. Junior was diagnosed with cancer and determined to overcome this he became an herbalist and lived another 20 years. Junior was known for speaking his mind and being a straight shooter as well as being a caring person and, most importantly, a devoted family man who would help you when you were down, and he could solve any problem.
Junior is survived by his 3 children: Leroy Worsley III, Letitia (Tarren) Worsley Henderson and Reeva (Angel) Worsley Fennell, 10 grandchildren: Brianna, Malik, Anthony, Imani, Roderick, Nyrel, Sergio, Javiah, Nyah, and Prencess, and 5 great grandchildren: Antonio, Devonne, Jeremiah, Kyla and Naiomi. As well as a host of family and friends who will miss him greatly.
Friends may call at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville, MD on Thursday, August 4th from 4pm-6pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5th at 11:30am followed by the burial at George Washington Cemetery at 2:30pm.
