Kristin Michelle Floyd, the daughter of Beverly and the late Robert Floyd was born on March 25, 1983. Kristin was the baby sister of two loving brothers, Jeremy and Kevin. Krissy, as she was affectionately known, was raised in Berwyn Heights, Maryland and attended Prince George’s County Public Schools, graduating from Parkdale High School in 2001. Kristin was baptized at First United Methodist Church of Hyattsville and a faithful member of Zion Church until her illness prevented her from attending services regularly.
Kristin was employed at the Association of American Medical Colleges as a Program Specialist from 2011-2016, she made plenty of friends during her employment at the AAMC. She was respected, loved, and adored by her co-workers.
Kristin loved the Christmas season, she was a fan of Christmas movies and music.Krissy was the designated family gift wrapper where she often stayed up past midnight wrapping gifts. Krissy loved trying new recipes and cooking, seafood was her favorite and would often take trips to the Wharf for lobster and crabs to enjoy with her family. Prince was her favorite musician, but she was an avid music lover and could be easily prompted to dance to her favorite songs. Kristin was the go to stylist, event planner/coordinator, therapist, and so much more for those she loved.
Kristin was diagnosed with having a Clivis Chordoma 9 years ago, an incurable tumor on the brain stem that strikes one in a million people. Krissy fought for 9 years to enjoy life with her family and friends. A resilient woman, Krissy truly fought the good fight until the Lord called her home on July 16, 2018 to enter into eternal rest.
Kristin Michelle Floyd is survived by her loving mother, Mrs. Beverly S. Floyd, and her two big brothers, Jeremy and Kevin Floyd. She was the loving Aunt to Javon, Briana and Aaliyah Floyd. She was the proud godmother to godsons, Eli William Boykin and Carter Maurice Boykin. Krissy was the beloved little sister to her best friend, Ms. TaNika D. Switzer. There are plenty of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that are left to cherish her precious memory.
