Janet Lynn Parker

Janet Lynn Parker, 75, of College Park, Maryland, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026.


Born on February 4, 1951, Janet lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and love. She dedicated more than 30 years to Pepco as an executive secretary, earning the respect of colleagues through her professionalism, dedication, and strong work ethic.
When her health allowed, Janet enjoyed crafting and expressing her creativity through a variety of projects. Above all, she cherished her family and was especially devoted to her grandchildren, Jason and Emma, who brought her immense joy.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Parker (Edmond Wright) and Michele Parker (Chad Barnett); her beloved grandchildren, Jason and Emma; her mother, Elizabeth Wise; her brothers, Jerry Wise (Sheila), Johnny Wise (Elizabeth), and Jimmy Wise (Angela); her sister, Sandy Wise; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Alfred Wise.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Janet’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, June 9th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Gasch’s in Hyattsville, Maryland.

A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation.
