Janet Dearstine

Janet Dearstine, 89, entered heaven's gates on August 27, 2026. She was born March 12, 1937 in Washington, D.C. and grew up in East Pines, Riverdale, Maryland. She graduated from Bladensburg Sr. High School class of 1954. Over her lifetime she worked in various occupations such as children's day care, medical offices, hospital volunteer, and church secretary. She loved to sing, decorate, and garden.

Janet lived a life devoted to the Lord, to her husband George, who preceded her in death after 69 years of marriage, to her children David Dearstine (Maureen) and Denise Spees (Michael), three grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Janet's parents, Edward and Marian Padgett, and sister Jean Hall, gathered together at heaven's gates to welcome her home! Janet's surviving siblings are Norman (Sonny) Padgett, Darlene Pilkerton, Nancy (Debbie) Haugh, and Marian Hudson.
