With broken hearts, we share the passing of Jackie Documet, 55, who left us far too soon.

Born Jacqueline Lukic, Jackie grew up in Ridgewood and Ozone Park and was a proud New Yorker. Growing up, she enjoyed walking around the neighborhood with friends, the community feel of the streets of New York, and purchasing Yugo goodies from Morscher's Pork Store - a tradition that was passed from her mother and which she passed to her children. In 1993, she met and fell in love with her loving husband, Mario A. Documet, who she married in 1995. She was a proud Marine Corps wife and dedicated mother to her three children - Michael, Amanda, and Caitlin. She loved her husband and children with a depth that was unwavering, unconditional, and fierce. That love was at the center of everything she did.

Jackie began her career as a Legal Assistant prior to transitioning to a career in Healthcare. Her loving and caring personality allowed her to flourish as a Medical Assistant and later an Office Manager. However, she was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mother - which was always her favorite job. She was the CEO/CFO/COO of the household - ensuring that everyone was always taken care of in all aspects.

Throughout her life, Jackie was an avid reader - instilling her love for books and libraries in all of her children. She especially loved all things Sci-Fi, specifically zombies. She loved watching Sitcoms with Mario and the kids after work. After retirement, Jackie's favorite activity was to travel. She and Mario enjoyed trying new foods, learning new cultures, and visiting new places. Her favorite countries that they visited were Italy and France, and connecting with family in Peru and reconnecting with family in Serbia. She simply loved anywhere that had a beach - especially Rehoboth Beach where the family vacationed every summer. Jackie looked forward to blue crabs and other seafood that came with the Maryland Summers. She had a love of food - frequently watching cooking shows on The Food Network and BravoTV. She enjoyed nurturing her family by finding and trying new recipes - often times, prioritizing her loved one's favorite dishes despite not eating them herself, but to spoil her family whom she loved so deeply.

Along side her husband and children, she is survived by so many who loved her dearly - her in-laws, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Jackie had a way of making everyone feel like family - with her contagious sense of humor, she brought people together in a way that was truly special.

Jackie was a light in our lives. She was loving, vibrant, and full of energy, with a heart that made everyone around her feel cared for and important. She had an incredible way of showing up for people - of making you feel seen, supported, and deeply loved no matter what. We will miss her voice, her laughter, her energy, and most of all, the comfort her presence brought to all of us. Her life deeply mattered and the world is better because she was in it. We will carry her with us in our hearts, in our memories, and in the way we continue to love one another.
