Ina Anderson

September 11, 1942 — July 14, 2017

On Friday, July 14, 2017, at the age of 74, of Berwyn Heights, MD. Ina was a very kind, loving and giving person who was very involved at Holy Redeemer Church. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science Information Systems from the University of Maryland in College Park. The University is also the place where she worked her entire career of 35 years. Loving mother of Thomas (Holli) Brew and Charles (Jennifer) Brew; grandmother of seven: Jack, Lea Jean (who is named after her grandmother), Dr. Thomas (Sharlyn), Jr., Jake, Jason, Zachary and Joshua Brew and great grandmother of eight: Nicholas, Jake Jr., Paige, Braydin, Anabelle-Marrei, Xander-Colt, Niko and Alexander. She is also survived by her sisters, Hattie Anderson, Barbera Simons, Mary Davis and Estella Mae Arnold. She was a nature loving, artistic, equestrian, who was exceptionally knowledgeable on a wide range of topics from art, current events, nature, history and many other subjects with a demented sense of humor, who also left behind several very good loving friends who cared for her until the end. Her parents, Garnett Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Finch, and her brothers, Garnett, Roger, Paul and George preceded her in death. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, 4902 Berwyn Road, College Park, MD at 10 a.m. on July 21, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please kindly send any donations in Ina’s name to Holy Redeemer Church (clearly marked for the maintenance and improvement fund) or to Holy Cross Hospice, Attn: Diana Davis, 11800 Tech Road, Suite #240, Silver Spring, MD 20904. Interment at a later date in her home town of Greasy Ridge, OH.
