George Lee Dearstine, Jr.

George Dearstine 91, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026 two weeks prior to his 92nd birthday. He was born on January 19, 1934 in Washington, D.C and grew up in East Riverdale, Maryland. He graduated from Bladensburg Sr. High School class of 1951 and served in the U.S Coast Guard during the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Government and later worked for the University of Maryland. George lived a life devoted to his family, church family and many friends.

 He was the beloved husband of his wife (Janet), son (David), and daughter (Denise), three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
