Fred Locklear

Mr. Fred Locklear, 86, of Hyattsville, MD passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023.

He was the first of 15 children born to the late Odell and Sadie Mae Dial Locklear.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Locklear: daughter Wanda Behnke, son Fred A. Locklear, son-in-law Frederick Behnke, and grandson Ian Behnke.

He is also survived by seven siblings, Alice Ree Lehocky of Tarpan Springs, FLA, Rodney Locklear of Essex, MD, Betty Sue Prevatte, Louie Locklear, Elwood Locklear, and Marie Locklear, all of Lumberton, and Jerry Locklear of Falling Waters, WV; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Barbara Locklear, Patsy Ann Locklear-Hardin, Earnest Locklear, Stedwell Locklear, Toney Locklear, Mary Magaline Myers of Ijamsville, MD, and James Earl Locklear of Lumberton, NC.
