Frank Vanderhoof

Richard, as known to his family and friends, passed away on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022.

Loving father of Sandy Vanderhoof Roop and Godfather of Jessica Perry.

Grandfather of Ricky McCool and wife Ronilynn, great grandfather of Zayden, Liberty, Tinley and Tesla.

Richard was one of five children children born to Frank Woodrow Vanderhoof and Loretta Lopez in Washington, DC.

He is survived by one sister, Linda Rucker, and preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Schofield and Judith Anderson, and brother Robert Vanderhoof.

Richard retired from the DC Fire Department as a heavy equipment operator. He loved Harley Davidson's and was a talented motorcycle mechanic.

A memorial service will be held some time in the near future.
