Concepción Mexicanos, 82, passed away peacefully on the morning of September15, 2021. She was the widow of Noe Mejicanos. Born on May 3, 1939, in La Union, El Salvador, she was the daughter of Jose Del Carmen Cordova and Julia Bonilla.

Concepción was known as “Conchita” by her loved ones. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, keeping up with the news, reading, the beach, and sweets, especially ice cream and chocolate. She was an animal lover and a hard worker.

She is survived by her nephew and his wife, Ismael and Reina Romero, who were like children to her. Also, their children, Mauricio, Jessica, and Jacqueline, who were like grandchildren to her. They are joined in mourning by her nephews, Oscar Romero and Ever Reyes, and her nieces, Zulma Solano and Sara Diaz, and their families. Conchita will join her brothers, Mauricio Bonilla Cordova and Milan Bonilla Cordova, in heaven. She will be missed dearly and will live in our hearts forever.

The viewing and funeral service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Gasch’s Funeral Home at 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD 20781, with interment following at the Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.


Concepción Mexicanos, de 82 años, falleció pacíficamente la mañana del 15 de septiembre de 2021. Era viuda de Noe Mejicanos. Nacida el 3 de mayo de 1939 en La Unión, El Salvador, era hija de José Del Carmen Córdova y Julia Bonilla. Concepción era conocida como “Conchita” por sus seres queridos. Le gustaba cocinar, escuchar música, mantenerse al día con las noticias, leer, la playa y los dulces, especialmente helados y chocolate. Ella era una amante de los animales y una gran trabajadora. Le sobreviven su sobrino y esposa, Ismael y Reina Romero, que eran como hijos para ella. Además, sus hijos, Mauricio, Jessica y Jacqueline, que eran como nietos para ella. A ellos se unen en duelo sus sobrinos, Oscar Romero y Ever Reyes, y sus sobrinas, Zulma Solano y Sara Díaz, y sus familias.
