Christina Richwald passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 8, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Alan Richwald. She leaves to cherish her memory her grateful children, Arthur (Amy) Richwald, Wendy (Eric) Pavlat, Sr. MaryAnn Richwald, and Sr. Rejoice Mary Hoedoafia, as well as 13 grandchildren, eight siblings, and a host of family and friends.
Christina had a tremendous love of God expressed through her passion for helping and caring for others. With her husband, she served her family, as well as countless others, taking the poor and needy into her home, as well as going out to those in hospitals, nursing homes, and those confined to their homes, bringing them Communion, companionship and all kinds of practical help. She particularly loved serving other spritual needs through the Disciples of Jesus and Mary, helping other discover God's plan for their loves. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends and family may call at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 4902 Berywn Road, College Park, MD 20740 on Wednesday, March 13th from noon until the Mass at 1pm. The interment will be at Arlington Natioonal Cemetery at a later date wihch will be announced on this site. Flowers may be sent to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 4902 Berwyn Road, College Park, MD 20740 in Christina's name.
