Cathleen Teresa Davis Bettes
September 26, 1965 – April 4, 2026
Cathleen Teresa Davis Bettes, born on September 26, 1965, passed away at home on April 4, 2026, following complications from gallbladder surgery. She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will carry her memory forward with enduring care.
Cathleen was a soft-spoken and gentle soul, known for her kind heart and quiet presence. She had a deep love and respect for both the elderly and animals. She would never hurt anyone, and those who knew her recognized the goodness she carried throughout her life. Though she faced many hardships, including struggles with mental illness and serious health challenges, she endured them with quiet strength and grace.
Her capacity for love was most evident in her devotion to her family. Cathleen selflessly cared for both of her parents until their passing, offering them comfort, dignity, and unwavering support. This compassion was a defining part of who she was.
Cathleen is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Bettes; her two sons, Michael Bettes, (Casey) who proudly serves in the United States Navy, and Shane Bettes, who lived with her and shared in her daily life. She was a loving grandmother to three grandchildren—Michael, Xander, and Rylee—who will forever carry her love with them.
She is also survived by her five siblings and their spouses: Pat (Mary), Maureen (Ronny), Kevin (Jane), Nancy (Phil), and Denis (Diane), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cathleen was a beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled. While her life was marked by challenges, it was also deeply marked by love—and that is how she will be remembered.
In remembering Cathleen, we hold close to her gentleness, her selflessness, and the quiet love she gave so freely.
