Carollyn Roach, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister left this world on December 12, 2025, surrounded by cherished loved ones. Born on May 23, 1950, in Washington, DC, Carollyn's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, family, and unwavering dedication.

Carollyn was instrumental in the sports cards and collectibles industry during the vibrant decades of the 80s and 90s, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and keen insight into a burgeoning market.  She was not only a pioneer in her field but also a proud graduate of the University of Maryland (UMUC), where she pursued further education that included obtaining her real estate license and bartender’s license.  Later in life she had a career with Comcast Public affairs and enjoyed this job until her retirement.

Beyond her professional achievements, Carollyn's most cherished role was as a loving mother to her children, Steven Roach (wife Elizabeth Kidwell), Stephanie Roach (husband Ricky Moomau), David Roach, and Tim Roach (wife Holly Roach). She found immense joy in her children, always ensuring they felt supported and loved. Her nurturing and fiercely protective spirit extended to her grandchildren—Samantha Roach, Synthia Barksdale (husband Jacob Barksdale), Kat Roach, Sara Moomau, Summer Moomau, Alex Moomau, Andy Moomau, Riley Dailey, and Connor Roach—who brought her endless delight. Carollyn's heart blossomed even further with the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Kolby Barksdale, who filled her life with boundless joy.

She is survived by her loving siblings, sister Sheran McManus, brother Clifton Estes (sister in law Margaret Estes), sister Peggy Estes, brother Pete Estes (sister in law Debra Estes) as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Family gatherings during the holidays were a highlight of Carollyn’s life, marked by her legendary meatballs and dill dip, which are fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure to taste them. She treasured every moment spent with her family, whether it was celebrating special occasions or embarking on adventures to places like New York, Las Vegas, Ocean City and many other places with her children and grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth where laughter echoed and memories flourished.

Carollyn's personality shone brightly; she was known for her kindness, generosity, and her great sense of humor as well as her love for a good Starbucks latte, a WWE wrestling match especially one with Randy Orton in it and she loved Cardinals. She embodied the essence of a loving mother and grandmother, creating a legacy of affection that will resonate through the lives she touched. Additionally, she found great fulfillment in her volunteer work at Comcast, where her spirit of giving continued to thrive.

Carollyn's star now shines bright alongside her cherished daughter, Stephanie Roach; her granddaughter, Samantha Roach; and her dear siblings—Neal Estes and Diane Estes—as well as her beloved parents, Roma and Ralph Estes. Their spirits will welcome her as she joins them in eternal peace.

As we remember Carollyn Roach, let us carry her legacy forward—cherishing a woman who poured love into every crevice of her life and into the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Her essence, filled with laughter and warmth, will forever remain in our hearts.
