Bradley Lawrence Herbert was born on Sept. 12, 1952, in Riverdale, Md., and lived in College Park throughout his childhood and youth. Bradley was predeceased by his father, James (Sonny) H. Herbert, Jr., in 2002, and mother, Ruth V. Herbert, in 2020. He is survived by his brother, Doug Herbert, sister-in-law Annie Slayton Herbert, of Flagstaff, Arizona, nephews Jay and Tucker Herbert and niece Mary Beth Herbert.
Bradley graduated from High Point High School in 1970 and attended the University of Maryland to study business. He was employed by Giant Food and U.S. Elevator of Beltsville, Md. Bradley was an avid golfer and pick-up-game basketball player and enjoyed coaching various youth sports.
Bradley’s travels included trips to Florida and Colorado to visit his cousin, Steve Dudrow, wife Gwen Dudrow and nephews Brian and JT. He especially enjoyed the Colorado visits that included Jeep excursions in the Rockies and camping.
Burial will be private.
