Barbara Simmons

The family matriarch, Barbara Simmons, peacefully died on the evening of December 14, 2019.  Barbara was a selfless, devoted, caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived selflessly without the expectation of anything in return.  Barbara fought hard for survival during the last few months and continuously gave the family love while facing her death. Barbara has always been the family’s guardian angel and will now do so as one of God’s angels.

Barbara was the beloved wife of Joseph L. Simmons and the loving mother of Linda, Joseph, and Michael Simmons.  She was a devoted grandmother to Dawn Baxter, Sean, Michael, and Ethan Simmons. Also close to her heart were great-grandchildren, Haley Campbell and Ryan Younger who adoringly called her “Nanny.” Barbara also leaves behind her nephew, Danny  Graves whom she always was proud of as he served in the armed forces.
