Anne T. Morrison

On June 6, 2026, Anne T. Morrison of College Park, Maryland passed peacefully from this life

Born on May 27, 1934 in Lumberton, North Carolina, Anne was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Anne was predeceased by her husband, James Charles “J.C.” Morrison, by her parents, Marshall Alexander Thompson and Mary Nivison Thompson, by her siblings, Mary Lewis “Mary Lew” Miller, Robert Laird “Laddie” Thompson, Marshall Alexander “Tommy” Thompson, Jr., and by her son-in-law, Larry Van Parker. She is survived by her children, David Michael Morrison of College Park, Maryland, James Patrick “Jamie” Morrison (Lisa) of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Charles Timothy “Tim” Morrison (Stacey) of College Park, Maryland, and Mary Kathleen “Katie” Parker of Laurel, Maryland, and by her grandchildren, Ryan Timothy Morrison of College Park, Maryland, James Meade Morrison of New York, New York, Tyler Patrick Morrison of Arlington, Virginia, and Michael Joseph Morrison of Charlotte, North Carolina.

A 1952 graduate of Northwestern High School and a 1956 graduate of the University of Maryland, Anne was the first “Miss Northwestern.” She was an accomplished model and athlete and a devoted educator for many years.

Anne loved gardening, traveling with her late husband, J.C., and presiding over daily happy hours with her late sister, Mary Lew. Above all, Anne cherished living in the heart of College Park and doting on her loving family.

Anne will be remembered for her warm and generous spirit and for her supreme hospitality. She will be forever missed immensely by all those fortunate to know and love her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 4512 College Avenue, College Park, MD 20740, with a reception to follow immediately.
