Angelina Planta

January 11, 1970 — January 23, 2017

Angelina (Girly) Eustaquio Miranda Planta, 47, of New Carrollton, MD passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:58 pm from complications due to metastatic breast cancer. Her spirit is carried on by her husband, Emmanuel, her three children Abigail, Conrad and Ethan; her mother Lilia Miranda; her brothers Ricardo, Emilio and Gary Miranda; her in-laws, and over a dozen nephews and nieces and an extended family of relations and friends.
Girly was born in Manila, Philippines and migrated to the United States in 1993 where she met her husband of 16 years. On September 1, 2002, July 30, 2007, and March 4, 2009 respectively, Angelina gave birth to her pride and joys - her daughter and sons.
Girly led a full life and made lives of those around her fuller as well. She was a devoted wife and Bo's support system. She was the family's main frame who managed and kept everything in order at home while Bo worked to support his family. She encouraged her family to chase their dreams and to look forward to a promising future.
She was a very proud and loving mother to her children. She attended all of Abigail's school plays, spelling bee contests and award ceremonies. She never missed a single soccer game to cheer for Conrad. She also made sure the entire world knew when Ethan received awards and praised in school. She was their cheerleading captain, their source of courage and strength and their biggest fan. But her love as a mother was not limited to her children. She showed the same kind of love and affection to her nieces and nephews who adored her just as much.
Girly enjoyed spending a laid back afternoon, enjoying good food and having fun and sometimes meaningless, lighthearted conversations with her family and close friends. She loved to laugh but mostly enjoyed telling the jokes and making people laugh until tears flowed down and bellies ached. She was kind-hearted not only to those who were close to her but also to those who were in need. She took pleasure in giving to children's charities and groceries to homeless people she encountered.

She was primarily a homemaker in the past 9 years since her first son, Conrad, was born. Moreover, she was active in her community and was an active member of the St. Mary's Home & School Association, MMMHS Batch 88, & DCIS Support Group. If not taking care of her children, Angelina was busy serving lunch to children and snacks in school functions at St. Mary's School.

Girly led a life full of beautiful memories. She centered her affection upon her family and made a circle of her home the embodiment of virtue, happiness and love and in her dealings with her neighbors and the community; she was always kind and charitable. She was a person with a strong faith in Christ who devoted her spiritual time to our Lord God. She has a good soul and heaven has gained a beautiful ANGELina.
