Name: Beatrice "Bea" Porter Date: July 26th, 2010 Obituary: On July 26, 2010 she died peacefully at the age of 95. She was a longtime member of the Ruth Chapter of the Eastern Star and a resident of Lanham, MD since 1953. She was known to generations of children as Mom Mom. Survived by her son, Alan E. Porter and his wife, Anne, her son-in-law, Roy Hurst, her grandchildren Linda, Denise, Marianne, Alana and Shelley and great-grandchildren Matthew and Melissa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar E. Porter, and her daughter, Nancy Hurst. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Bea’s Life Celebration on Thursday, July 29th from 11 am to 12:15 pm at GASCH’S FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD, with services to follow at Fort Lincoln Mausoleum Chapel at 12:30 pm.
