On Wednesday, August 15, 2012 of Riverdale, MD. Beloved husband of the late Maizie Marie Fitzgerald (nee Hooper). Loving father of Gary Fitzgerald of Laurel, MD, Lary (Patricia) Fitzgerald of Lewes, DE, Michael (Nancy) Fitzgerald of Warsaw, VA, Maureen (Jack) Wells of Hyattsville, MD, and Dennis (Janice) Fitzgerald of Harrisonburg, VA. Grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 26. Mr. Fitzgerald was born on July 24, 1919 in Orange, VA to Cleophus and Adeline Fitzgerald. He is the last surviving sibling of ten brothers and sisters. Mr. Fitzgerald has been a resident of Prince George's County from 1924 until 2008 when he moved to Harrisonburg, VA. Mr. Fitzgerald attended Riverdale Elementary School as well as Hyattsville High School, and Eastern Mennonite School in Harrisonburg, VA. Mr. Fitzgerald served our nation in the United States Army from March 1944-December 1945 where he was a decorated veteran of WWII. Mr. Fitzgerald is the owner and founder of the Fitzgerald Company, Inc. until he retired in 1984.
