Charlotte Kampia

November 4, 1971 — October 5, 2014

Charlotte Ann Kampia, née Boehmler November 4, 1971 to October 5, 2014.
Charlotte was born the fourth of seven children to loving parents Elizabeth Ann Boehmler of Philadelphia, PA and William John Boehmler of Margate, NJ. Charlotte grew up in Lansdale, PA and attended North Penn High School and Immaculata College. She lived in Pennsylvania until her early-20's when she moved to Maryland and began teaching at Ascension Lutheran School. At Ascension, Charlotte met her devoted husband Adam Kampia, and together they have raised three amazing children, Jonathan, Anna, and Kate Hope. Charlotte's professional life was dedicated to ministering to others. Whether it was as a schoolteacher, as development director and executive director of the Laurel Pregnancy Center, or as a church office manager, she gave the ministry she served a loving, smiling face to greet all comers. Charlotte's love for her children, her generous spirit, and incredible strength will be missed terribly by her family and friends.

Charlotte leaves behind her grieving husband Adam and their children Jonathan Adam, Anna Claire, and Katherine Hope. Sadly, her death precedes her father and mother, William John Boehmler and Elizabeth Ann Boehmler. Her surviving siblings and spouses are John and Kimberly Bergman Boehmler, Ronald and Claire Boehmler Zarrilli, Gretchen Boehmler and fiancé Bryan Rager, Albert and Cheryl Canoura Boehmler, Paul and Kelly Hokanson Boehmler, Kyte and Kate Boehmler Hoefert, and 14 nieces and nephews. Charlotte's family also includes Adam's parents Rudolph and Judith Kampia, their children Andrew and Taylor Erwin Kampia, Brian and Ruth Kampia Stiegler, and Jesse and Joy Kampia O'Shell, along with 6 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made payable to Laurel Pregnancy Center at 415 Main St, Laurel, MD 20707 or NAMI, P.O. Box 62596, Baltimore, MD 21264-2596. Donations for the family are also being collected by Ascension Lutheran Church at 7415 Buchanan Street, Landover Hills, MD 20784.
